Document Usage Policy

Background

These documents have been put together by Gavin Smith who has served at Christchurch Newport as the church administrator for the last 17 years. Our desire is for these documents to be used by church leaders (particularly those who are in pastoral ministry on their own). We hope that these documents will be a time-saver and will allow you to focus on other areas of ministry. Please read through the following terms and conditions that outline how we wish these documents to be used, carefully.

N.B. These documents have been made available in PDF format on the ‘thechurchoffice.co.uk’ website but if it would serve you to have these documents in a word format please make a document request. (This will also serve us by allowing us to keep track of who’s currently using the documents for our own reviewing purposes).


Permitted Use

These documents may only be used in the following circumstances:

  1. To use the document template for information or personal and/or church use.
  2. To copy, modify, adapt, merge, translate, disassemble or create a new works based upon the whole or any part of the document.
  3. These documents may only be reproduced by church leaders in order to train volunteers and staff from their own churches.


Exemptions and Restrictions

The permitted use is subject to the following exemptions and restrictions:

2.1. You will not sell any of the documents to third parties.

2.2. You will not distribute any of the templates, information or other items contained in the documents to third parties free of charge. (If other churches would like to use the documents, please refer them back to the website where they may download their own copy or make a document request).


Ownership

The Church Office shall at all times retain ownership of the documents save for any new documents that are created and completed within the permission granted in 1.2.

Changes to the website

We reserve the right to change the website; the documents and these terms and conditions at any time. You will be bound by any changes to the terms and conditions from the first time you use the website following the changes.

Law and Jurisdiction

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, any dispute relating to these terms and conditions will fall within these jurisdictions.
