The Art of Stamping: Conclusion

This stamping series is but a glimpse of God, a glimpse into some of His attributes. We have considered His stamp on us as His creation, His goodness, and His faithfulness to us. We have considered that He is a God of order and not confusion, that He is purposeful. And above all, we have been reminded of His mercy and love for us displayed on the cross. I’ve enjoyed thinking about how I can reflect these attributes of God in my daily role working behind the scenes. It is wonderful to be able to observe these qualities in others and see God at work in them.

For us, the application of this series is to desire to grow in these different attributes, to reflect God and bring Him glory in all we do. One thing I have been reminded of when reading A.W. Tozer's 'The Knowledge of the Holy', is that God is all of these attributes in fullness. He does not reflect them some of the time. Nor does he embody them partially. They are not just qualities for God in the way they may be for us. But He is the definition of love, kindness, faithfulness, goodness and mercy.

“Love, for instance, is not something God has which may grow or diminish or cease to be. His love is the way God is and when He loves He is simply being Himself and so with the other attributes.”- A.W. Tozer¹

God is too wonderful, too infinite, too vast to comprehend. It is a wonderful privilege to be able to look at scripture, to look at who He is, the glimpses we are given and worship Him in all we do.

Let’s keep our eyes fixed on Him, fixed on the things above. Let’s remember all that He has done for us on the cross, His great love for us, all that we have received yet don’t deserve. Let’s remember the great sacrifice, kindness and mercy we have received as we continue on in our journey of supporting the work of the gospel behind the scenes in our local churches.
